End Boss Month begins with…
June 1, 2008
Yep, Lavos from the classic SNES RPG Chrono Trigger.
I just recently beat Chrono Trigger for the first time just a few days ago, and I can see why there’s a huge fanbase for it. The graphics are rich and beautiful, the soundtrack is simply amazing, and the techniques and overall gameplay is superb. It’s a bit on the short side, but overall it’s a fun adventure that I reccomend to anyone who is into RPGs.
But, er, yeah…it’s End Boss Month, not “Let’s talk about how awesome Chrono Trigger is” month.
Anyway, the final boss to Chrono Trigger is Lavos, who is attempting to destroy the world by harvesting it. Chrono and his ragtag game have to stop him. And boy, when they said they had a huge challenge to face, they did- the battle with Lavos, in all three forms, can set you back at least an hour. His final form, is, without a doubt, a hellacious battle. Even with all the weapons you get via sidequests, if you haven’t leveled up properly, you will be slaughtered. Just witness the video above- then imagine facing that at level 45 rather than level 99…yeah, it’s tough.
So we salute you, Lavos, for being incredibly tough and annoying. And also, what’s with the second form looking like Cell from Dragonball Z?
